'Colours of My Life' Turned One
I realised a few days ago that I've been blogging for an entire year! I guess it's not really a big deal but for the last couple of days I took some time to figure out a few things about this little blog o' mine. I asked myself...
"Why do I blog? Why did I start in the first place?"
"Should I continue?"
"Does it really matter?"
Sometimes blogging seems quite frivolous but I realised it is only so when there's no real purpose behind it. I'm not here to win a popularity contest. I'm here because I love writing, sharing and being creative. Plus, I like challenging myself to try new things and meet new people. So far I've made many wonderful connections with people from around the world through my blog. At this point I couldn't ask for more.
To all my blog friends and readers, thank you so much for making this one of the most positive experiences of my life. Your comments, e-mails and messages mean a lot to me (albeit I've been very bad at replying them all on time lately!).

I just realized I think I have been blogging for 1 year too.
I was just about to shut down my blog because I haven't been writing much lately since I didn't have my computer. But then I saw some comments and they warmed my heart and reminded of how blogging has helped me grow as a person.
InshaAllah you will continue to blog too and we may continue to be blog friends (though I do hope to meet you one day in real life cuz that's how cool you are!)

I have asked myself similar questions about blogging. I sometimes wonder if my blogging goes against everything that I believe modesty to be. But I also realise that I know for a fact that at least one person benefited from my posts. And that is what makes it worth it.

I think hijab has made me more modest (inshaAllah) in the past few months and I've decided to make some changes in myself and my blog. As much as I love fashion and it's probably the easiest thing to blog about anyway, I'm going to try and write more about the bigger things in life =)
